We are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a primary school on a full time basis in the Melton Mowbray area .

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work with students in Early Years Foundation Stage with children aged 4-5. Within this role you will providing support on a 1:1 basis with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) but also supporting the teacher within class as a general teaching assistant.

The role is to start after the easter break on the 8 th April and will be for the rest of the academic year.

Job Duties:

• Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Support students with learning difficulties or disabilities
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to meet students' needs

Required Qualifications:

• GCSE qualifications

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience working with children or young people
• Understanding of Special Educational Needs
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Experience teaching phonics would be desirable

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional training or qualifications in SEN support
• Experience in a similar role within an educational setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
