Job description
The Role:
- To manage the 15 months - 2 year old room.
- To provide safe, high-quality education and care for children attending the nursery
- To fulfil legal and statutory requirements and to supervise staff on a day-to-day basis
- To contribute to and implement Nursery policies
- Effective team leadership - ability to lead the team in the room, manage effectively and efficiently, upholding positive working relationships and be an effective mentor
- To manage the provision of the nursery ensuring that children, parents and the staff team work together to provide high quality childcare
- To agree and set nursery goals and monitor the achievement of progress against targets
- To monitor and assess the quality of provision ensuring that policies and procedures, best practice and standards are maintained
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Collaborate with parents and other staff members to support children's individual needs
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children
Requirements:
- Full and Relevant Level 3 Qualification in Early Years Education minimum
- Minimum 1 year experience as a room leader
- Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current - - - -Ofsted statutory guidance
