Positive Behaviour Support Worker (YJS) **
We're excited to collaborate with a Local Authority in the Peckham area seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Worker to work within their Youth Justice Service.
** The role is split between the Youth Justice Service and a School where you will hold a small caseload **
Offering a 3-6 month agency contract with potential for ongoing extension, this full-time position (36 hours, some weekends & evenings) is based in Peckham.
The competitive rate of pay is £21 - £27+ per hour, negotiable based on experience.
About the Role:
You will be required to have experience of working directly with young people of secondary school age.
Your experience can be either within Education, Social Care, Youth Justice or Youth Work.
You will be skilled in developing relationships with adolescents that present a range of behaviours and needs in order to support them achieving with their education provision.
The role will require that you deliver targeted one to one or group sessions.
You will be familiar with a variety of approaches, such as but not limited to, trauma informed practice, SMART planning, CBT, motivational interviewing.
Experience Needed:
Youth Justice Support.
Local Authority / Public Sector.
Qualification:
NVQ Level 3/4 Health & Social Care.
