We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Careers Advisor to join our team. This role is integral to our commitment to nurturing talent and developing future leaders.
The Early Careers Team encompasses apprenticeships, industrial placements, summer placements and graduate recruitment and selection, programme development and coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting recruitment efforts, developing and implementing training programs for our early career professionals.
Together with the team, you will provide support and guidance to the business on best practice, tools and frameworks, internally and externally. A key area you will be supporting is the development frameworks for the graduate, placement and apprentice programmes, with a view to potentially supporting the delivery of these (this may be in the form of E-learning, workshops & lunch and learn sessions) In addition to this, the role will be required to support resourcing, onboarding and coordination of the cohorts joining the company as well as supporting the administration and coordination for those already on programme across the business.
Responsibilities
Support the recruitment team with coordination and facilitation of early careers assessment centres plus the induction day process for early career cohorts
Coordination of onboarding and inductions for early careers cohorts to include welcome days and team building days
Ensure new starters are issued with all necessary equipment
Work with the extended team to book and co-ordinate graduate job fairs and career events - this will include the attendance of Careers Fairs at various educational establishments
Work with the key business stakeholders to review requirements for the development frameworks
Undertaking, identifying & analysing training needs across the early careers population
Continued design and development of early careers initiatives such as mentoring, coaching, and in-house training.
Forge strong, productive and mutually beneficial relationships with relevant stakeholders and stream coordinators
Creating annual training plans for early careers programmes
Work with the Education Outreach team to coordinate education activities and utilise STEM ambassadors to promote Early Careers
Work with HRIS (Workday) team to streamline and automate processes to improve efficiencies
Work with and as part of the HR department to be responsible for processing data in line with GDPR, including data cleansing where applicable Liaise with external preferred suppliers where required

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
Circa 4 years of experience in Apprentice or Graduate Recruitment, HR and/or L&D
Proven experience in recruitment and training, preferably within an early careers context but not essential.
Practical experience of facilitating or coordinating early career development programmes
The ability and confidence to deliver training sessions to large groups of early career cohorts but not essential
Ability to work at pace and adapt to changing priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proactivity and drive with a strong desire to succeed and improve
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
