About the Role
This role is responsible for the provision of application support services, directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. It includes the following activities:

Managing and leading the daily activities and performance and development of a Team of Application Analysts
Investigating, troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving system issues ensuring that requests and incidents are responded to within SLA and customers are given excellent customer service
Writing SQL queries, leading on system development and implementation of new and emerging functionality
Designing and developing workflows and configuring the Application to match business processes

Digital and IT is a shared service between Kingston and Sutton councils providing digital and technology services to both councils as well as a number of arm's length companies.

Within this Team you will:

Report to the Application Support Manager and is part of the Digital Technology Team within the Shared Digital & IT Service. This role will be responsible for being the Lead on key Housing Applications with an exciting opportunity to support, shape and transform Housing services including the implementation of the Council’s New Housing System.

About You
To be successful in the role of Application Lead you will be able to demonstrate the following :

Essential is a proven experience of 2nd line support in a complex support environment
Experience of supporting Housing Management Systems, ideally of NEC (Northgate)Housing
Understanding of Housing Business processes and service requirements
Working in Digital Transformation within an organisation
Ability to gather customer requirements and translate them into written technical specifications.
Ability to train Users with varying levels of ability
Strong Technical skills including the ability to write SQL scripts, develop workflows and implement solutions
Experience of managing interfaces and system integrations is essential.
Understanding of data sets and ability to extract data for management reporting
Being a Good communicator with ability to work successfully with key stakeholders including senior managers, suppliers, partner organisations and other public services
Proven demonstration of Leadership skills and behaviours
Project management experience with experience of Agile, waterfall approach to projects
