Job description

The David Ross Sports Village is a sector leading facility of international significance providing a premier training and competition venue for elite sport, physical activity and social and recreational sport. The David Ross Sports Village delivers an outstanding student sporting experience combined with a top-quality education to all of our current and future students.

We are seeking an experienced facilities Team Leader to lead and motivate a team of cleaning staff ensuring excellent standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times. This is a “hands on” role and will involve regular cleaning. The successful candidate will work with the cleaning team on a daily basis providing on the job training as required. You will be responsible for all aspects of staff supervision and will record and report on staff attendance dealing with discipline and welfare issues as required.

Other duties include maintaining adequate stock levels and carrying out cleaning audits on a regular basis. You will also liaise with other departments and sports centre personnel to ensure that the highest standard of customer service is provided at all times.

The successful candidate will have supervisory experience, extensive experience gained within the cleaning industry and have excellent customer service skills.

This is a permanent position. Hours of work are full time (36.25 per week), worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged to include some evenings and weekends. Flexibility will be required. Job share arrangements may be considered.
