Data Governance Manager

We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). What will you be doing?
• Leading GFCO data domain set-up and ensuring overall Data Governance mission, vision and strategic objectives are met
• Partnering cross functionally with Functional Leads, Chief Data Office, Technology and Operations to ensure adherence of Data Standards, best practices and policies
• Ensuring data consistency, quality and integrity across all data assets
• Tracking, managing and governing proactive and reactive data validations for all Critical Data Elements across GFCO (as applicable)
• Completing data dictionary and data lineage work in support of data strategy for Group Financial Crime Operations
• Partnering with Technology organization to ensure logical and physical data models exist for critical data elements
• Partnering with Chief Data Office organization to oversee data remediation plan activity for GFCO
What we’re looking for:
• Deep understanding of technology and data infrastructure across a heavily regulated environment
• Excellent knowledge and experience of Data Governance & Quality domains (metadata management, master data management, data quality, data stewardship, data protection)
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks across multiple projects with tight deadlines and aggressive goals
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Proficiency in mobilising and building relationships with a diverse and broad set of stakeholders, ensuring their active participation & support to data governance initiatives
• Knowledge of financial crime landscape and associated regulatory requirements and risks
• Experience of leading through data management changes within financial services
