South West and Midlands Cluster

The role

Ramsay Health Care UK is part of a global hospital operating group that is the 4th largest provider of private healthcare in the world. In the UK, we’re growing rapidly, with 30+ hospitals providing diagnostics and treatment for both private and NHS patients. The peripatetic role is to work with the Commercial Accountants in supporting local SLT members by covering where there are vacancies; or supporting new Finance Managers in role; or supporting Finance Managers where requested to do so by the Operations Directors.

The Peripatetic Finance Manager partners with other departments in the analysis of their financial KPIs, challenging and offering guidance to support business growth plans, and also ensures a robust control environment through compliance with all policies and procedures. They additionally contribute ad-hoc analysis and insights as required for Cluster, Corporate, UK, or Global requirements.

In addition, the Peripatetic Finance Manager is to support the Commercial Accountants in their role, through involvement in site, Super Cluster or group wide projects and discrete tasks, as required. This may also involve carrying out audits of financial operations and devising action plans on behalf of the Commercial Accountant.

Where you’ll be based

This is a regional position covering the South West and Midlands Cluster. There are 13 sites in the cluster which cover a wide geographical area from as far north as Nottinghamshire down to Cornwall. You will be expected to cover sites in this region as required to support where there are vacancies and where additional support is needed.
