About the Role:

As an Engagement Coach, you'll be joining a dynamic team, where your passion for education and young people will shine. Your primary responsibility will be to increase participation and engagement among young learners enrolled in Alternative Education Courses. We're looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, a nurturing approach, and a can-do attitude. Experience in a SEND setting, particularly with students with ASD, is highly valued, as well as familiarity with restorative practice and PRU environments. Your role will involve mentoring, supporting the needs of learners, and aiding in their retention on the course.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Will help to deliver engaging sessions to a high standard.
• Offer personalised guidance and support to learners who require additional assistance.
• Facilitate the participation, retention, and progression of learners.
• Collaborate effectively with other staff members.
• Supervise young people during sessions to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Actively participate in staff meetings and maintain open communication with staff, learners, and relevant stakeholders.

Education and Experience:

• DBS clearance (essential) or willing to apply for a DBS.
• Coaching, mentoring, assessing, or teaching qualification.
• Experience working with diverse age groups, including 16 plus.
• Experience delivering training in community or educational settings.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with hard-to-reach young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
