EHS Advisor (Compliance) – Hinkley Point C
Our client, a leading Engineering Conglomerate, are now looking for an EHS Advisor to support with their site based at Hinkley Point C.
About the role:
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- You will collaborate with the CDM/EHS Manager to ensure the alignment of site activities with the company and site-specific EHS Plan, Standards, and work instructions.
- You will conduct thorough audits of the Principal Contractors Work Authorisation Form & Permit to Work process, taking corrective actions as needed.
- You will take ownership & support the successful implementation and enhancement of the Principal Contractors Health, Safety, Environmental & Emergency Preparedness Performance Index.
- You will participate in Principle Contractor Community of Best Practice, Coordination, and miscellaneous meetings to facilitate effective communication.
- You will attend the Client’s Daily Activity Briefing at the beginning of each shift, contributing to the cultivation of a positive compliance culture.
- You will actively promote and advocate the use of site Observation Reporting software tools.
- You will develop, implement, and oversee compliance procedures, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and project requirements.
- You will collaborate with internal departments to convey compliance requirements and deliver training on compliance-related matters to employees.
- You will monitor and assess the effectiveness of the compliance program through key performance indicators and metrics.
- You will take charge of developing, implementing, and managing the client’s Emergency Preparedness strategy, including arrangements for fire risk.
What you will need:
Ideally you will have skills and experience covering the below:
- Be a holder of a current CITB MAPs H&S Test or CCNSG.
- Be competent with the Microsoft packages – Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point.
- Experience on large scale construction sites, preferably in the power plant or oil & gas industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of GB Health & Safety legislation.
