Our client is a dynamic player in the food and drink industry, dedicated to delivering quality products to their customers. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a motivated Technical Assistant to join the rapidly developing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the commitment to compliance and quality assurance within the company.
Role Overview: As a Technical Assistant, you will be an integral part of the compliance team, ensuring that all products meet customer requirements and regulatory standards. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the site is adequately prepared for external audits, maintaining up-to-date specifications, and supporting the Quality Management System (QMS). Additionally, you will assist in audit scheduling and provide support to the team as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure product specifications comply with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
* Prepare the site for external audits, ensuring all documentation and processes are up to date and in compliance with relevant standards.
* Maintain accurate and current product specifications, updating as necessary to reflect any changes in ingredients, processes, or regulations.
* Work in line with the Quality Management System (QMS), following established procedures and protocols to maintain product quality and safety.
* Assist in the maintenance of audit scheduling, coordinating with internal teams to ensure audits are conducted efficiently and effectively.
* Provide support to the compliance team as needed, participating in team meetings, training sessions, and other initiatives to promote continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a similar role within the food industry is essential.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Previous exposure to working with retailers is preferred but not essential.
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 (Dependent on experience)
