At Ground Control, we have an opportunity for an experienced Plant Operator to join our Arboriculture in Rail & Infrastructure division based in the Newark area. This is a pivotal role supporting our work across a wide range of sites nationally . We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Operator to join our team.
Duties required of a plant operator are to include but are not limited to:
- Using your experience to assist in the scoping of works preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
- Understand, interpret and work, according to site plans, written instructions, or verbal guidance.
- Operate a variety of heavy machinery and equipment on highways, railway, utilities, and construction sites.
- Prioritize working in a clean and tidy manner to protect the environment and prevent pollution.
- Maintain all equipment in a clean and undamaged state, promptly reporting any damage.
- Perform pre-start equipment checks, document findings, and submit reports as required.
- Carry out routine maintenance and lubrication of equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Safely operate any plant or equipment you are trained and competent to use, this may be owned or hired in and will include the use of specialised attachments.
- Adhere to relevant legislation, such as Health and Safety at Work, LOLER, COSHH etc.
