As Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for working on some of the company's most important technical challenges, as well as contributing to the evolution of their technologies.
In your first few weeks in this Principal Engineer role, you can expect to:
- Personally tackle some of the company's toughest programming and technical challenges
- Act as a technical escalation point, assisting the team in resolving complex technical challenges and debugging critical issues
- Proactively identify potential risks and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines
- Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of our game's architecture and systems and the work we're doing to improve them
- Address and resolve technical challenges; define, estimate, and prioritize tasks; coordinate resources; and review code and deliverables
To apply for this Principal Engineer role, you will need 12 years of game engineering experience that includes console and PC titles. You will also require the following:
- Experience shipping multiple original games, preferably first- or third-person action-oriented games
- Experience with multiplatform development (PC and consoles) and understanding of platform-specific requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a Principal or leadership role
- A Bachelor's degree or higher
