Are you an experienced pharmacy technician who is has a strong desire to develop and promote the use of information technology (IT) and digital transformation Trust wide? The post offers a pharmacy technician with IT and operational skills the opportunity to innovate and further develop the use of technology and informatics to deliver our expanding digital agenda and quality improvement opportunities. You will lead the ongoing maintenance of the Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) system as the system administrator. You will be responsible for routine updates, installation of updated software and testing required for any current version of the system. You will provide expert support in the technical aspects of the development, implementation and upgrading of the Trust-wide EPMA system, using your significant experience as a pharmacy technician with extensive experience of EPMA as a system user and administrator in order to lead and manage the daily operation and maintenance of the system. The role will include the maintenance of other digital systems within pharmacy and participation in the implementation of new pharmacy digital systems, you will support staff training in the use of EPMA and other digital systems across the Trust. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) King's Lynn is West Norfolk has a superb unspoilt coastline with pretty villages, all with their own individual charm. The medieval port of King's Lynn has some very interesting architecture. We provide a comprehensive range of specialist and general acute services to around 331,000 people across West and North Norfolk, in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire. We have more than 4,000 staff and volunteers and approximately 500 beds on a single site. Some specialist services and clinics are provided in community facilities, such as the North Cambridgeshire hospital in Wisbech. We work in partnership with neighbouring hospitals for the provision of tertiary services. In February 2022 the QEH the Care Quality Commission rated the Trust as 'Good' in all of the core services they inspected, and recommended the Trust moves out of the recovery support system (formerly special measures).
