Job description
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our antimicrobial stewardship team and work in the fight to prevent antimicrobial resistance.
We are looking for a conscientious and adaptable individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our antimicrobial team. This permanent post will support the antimicrobial pharmacists across both primary and secondary care to deliver Welsh Government antimicrobial prescribing targets and optimise use of antimicrobials throughout the Health Board.
The candidate must be enthusiastic, motivated and able to manage their time effectively, to achieve deadlines. The role will be varied including producing reports, co-ordinating and supporting team activities, and maintaining databases and documentation.
Flexible working and will be considered. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
The main duties of the Project Support Officer are to:
• Provide administrative support to assist with the planning and delivery of Antimicrobial Stewardship Programme.
• Support, facilitate, and monitor progress of projects.
• Identify risks and report to the Programme / Project manager.
The main responsibilities of the Project Support Officer are:
Communications
• Communicate complex business sensitive information and issues related to the project, including briefings and reports.
• Maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a focal point for communications for the programme and ensure the dissemination of information to all identified parties.
Improvement and Monitoring
• Monitor the progress of a range of work streams, quantifying gaps in resources, and identifying risks to delivery.
• Undertake reporting and analysis of information to support project delivery by using a variety of IT applications.
• Analyse and interpret trends and derive detailed profiles and plans updating and refining where required.
Planning and Design
• Use project control methods for planning, scheduling, and tracking of projects tasks.
• Provides administrative and technical support to Programme / Project Managers.
• Organise meetings or events and assist in the diary management requirements of individuals in connection with portfolio of work.
