We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join their team at Tamworth. As an integral part of the leadership team, you will be responsible for the financial accounting and reporting process, contributing valuable insights to support decision-making and ensuring a robust compliance and control environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Finance Leadership:
- Be a visible leader across the site, embodying the company's values and culture.
- Collaborate with the Tamworth Plant Director, providing strategic information, insights, and challenges for effective decision-making.
- Lead strategic projects, contributing to the transformation of the Tamworth site and potential new business initiatives.
Financial Control:
- Ensure the integrity of financial reporting through diligence, independence, and maintaining a strong control environment.
- Take ownership of product costings and site overheads, investigating and addressing any deviations from standards or targets.
- Manage the period-end financial close process and drive the implementation of global accounting policies.
- Oversee taxation and treasury activities, emphasising cash management.
- Lead accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, optimising processes and impacting working capital balances.
- Conduct periodic forecasting, planning activities, and lead the annual budget process.
- Manage the relationship with auditors, ensuring GAAP/IFRS compliance.
- Coordinate internal and external financial reporting requirements to the Group and statutory authorities.
Finance Function:
- Implement consistent standards and efficient ways of working across the Finance team.
- Motivate, coach, and develop the team, building capability and succession plans.
- Support the Group's ambition for a best-in-class Finance function globally.
- Collaborate with the Europe Finance team across all sites to deliver a high-performing, consistent, and insightful finance solution for the total European business.
- Play a leading role in maximising the use and effectiveness of the current ERP system and implementing new systems in the future.
- Work with Central teams to streamline reporting solutions using ERP, Power BI, and Excel solutions.
Additional Information:
Specialised Qualifications/Skills:
- Proven Financial Controller with a track record of financial and operational achievement.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Change management experience, with the ability to lead key projects; system implementations and integration experience advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Passionate and committed with high personal integrity, practical, pragmatic, and hardworking ethic.
- Highly analytical with the ability to drive improvements in the business.
- Good understanding of IFRS and local standards.
- Fluency in English language skills.
- Qualified accountant with at least 10 years' PQE.
