Contract – EHS Advisor – Gratham – £300 per day (outside IR35) 6 to 12 month contract – 4 days per week
Melbreck Technical are working with a leading engineering specialist whose products are used in multiple industries, including automotive, rail and aerospace.
They are looking for a contract EHS Advisor to join them ASAP.
EHS Advisor – Role Overview:
Reporting in to the GM, you will be coordinating all aspects of environmental, health and safety management on site.
You will be coordinating with all departments to actively seek out improvement opportunities for site safety, whilst nurturing a safety culture with all team members and driving cost reductions
The role is an integral part of the business, so you will be working closely with the wider global business, as well as other locations.
EHS Advisor – Role Overview:
Help to lead and coordinate the EHS management system, maintain ISO 45001 certification, attain ISO 14001 and any other applicable EHS management system certifications or elements.
Help maintain an EHS culture of excellence for safety and environmental management through effective communication.
Lead EHS training programs for applicable EHS training required across the location for all team members.
Work with HR and third party on requirements of an occupational health monitoring program related to identified workplace exposures and implementation of any recommendations for work place changes.
Manage the facility statutory inspection program, including but not limited to Legionella, Asbestos Management, Electrical safety.
Managing site Fire and First Aid processes and leading HPT’s to make a safety change where required.
EHS Manager – Candidate Requirements:
Good communication, influencing, teambuilding and employee engagement & empowerment skills.
Must have strong process skills for standardization, continuous improvement and program management.
Must have a passion for EHS and the ability to translate that to establish a strong EHS culture.
Experience managing contractors (Permits to work, Risk Assessments, review Method Statements)
Technically competent in EHS field and able to translate into practical action.
Strong problem solving skills and experience
NEBOSH Diploma and/or equivalent experience
