Job description
A UK-wide company is currently seeking an Associate Director for their Real Estate Tax team. The company is a part of a global network of independent audit, tax, and advisory firms, with more than 58,000 employees in over 135 countries. The team's focus is on providing tax structuring, tax compliance, and tax due diligence advice to real estate funds, global institutional investors, REITs, private investors, and the public sector.
As an Associate Director within the Real Estate Tax team, the successful candidate will be part of a high-performing team that works with high-profile clients on challenging projects. They will be responsible for developing junior team members and working with big names in the industry on some of the most interesting projects. This includes multi-jurisdictional transactions across real estate and infrastructure, with current transactions ranging from £60m to over £1bn.
The Associate Director will lead from the front in dealing with clients, delivering work, and engaging with the Real Estate and broader Tax teams. They will also have the opportunity to cut their own path within the role, with the support of the Partner and Directors. The company prides itself on being a team of self-starters, so owning one's own work is a must.
To be considered for the role, candidates must be ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or have an equivalent qualification, have UK corporate tax experience, and experience monitoring junior team members' work and coaching/career development. Experience in the UK Real Estate market and demonstrable Business Development experience is also preferable.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate and lead in business development initiatives and proposal activity. Skills in tax structuring, international tax advice and due diligence services on cross-border transactions, tax compliance, and setting up property funds including UK Real Estate Investment Trusts, are all desirable.
