Coyle Homecare, a leading temporary homecare agency, is seeking dedicated and compassionate Complex Care Workers (Health Care Assistants) to join our team in Surrey
As a Complex Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to adults with complex medical needs in the comfort of their own homes. This role requires a deep commitment to enhancing the quality of life for these children and supporting their families.Key Responsibilities:
Individualised Care: Deliver tailored care and support to clients with complex medical requirements, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Medical Assistance: Administer medications, operate medical equipment, and perform other healthcare tasks in accordance with prescribed guidelines and under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
Daily Living Support: Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, feeding, mobility support, and dressing, following individualised care plans.
Communication: Foster open and effective communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring a collaborative and person-centered approach to care.
Observation and Reporting: Regularly observe and assess the client's condition, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Promote Independence: Encourage and support clients in developing and maintaining age-appropriate skills and independence according to their capabilities.
Safety and Hygiene: Strictly adhere to hygiene protocols and safety measures to maintain a clean and safe environment, prioritising the well-being of clients.
Documentation: Complete accurate and timely documentation of care provided, including daily logs, incident reports, and any other relevant records.
Healthcare Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent healthcare qualifications.
Experience: Proven experience in providing care for individuals with complex medical needs is highly advantageous.
Training: Possess up-to-date training in areas such as complex care, pediatric first aid, medication administration, and other relevant healthcare training.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Compassion and Empathy: Demonstrate a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of individuals with complex care needs, exhibiting empathy, patience, and understanding.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the unique needs of clients.
Driver's License: A valid UK driver's license is desirable.
We are currently offering a salary of £18 - £25 per hour for our Complex Care Worker roles in Surrey. Your working hours are flexible as we currently have shifts covering both days and nights, Monday to Sunday, with shift premiums available for nights, weekends and bank holidays.
