Accounts Payables Co-ordinator

Job description
Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for a experienced and enthusiastic Accounts Payables Co-ordinator to work across our vibrant organisation.
What You’ll Do:
- Effectively co-ordinate and direct the day-to-day activities of transactions assistants to achieve timely processing of invoices
- Proactively chase up invoices which have not been returned to finance for payment
- Manage the Group’s utilities bills and council tax charges to ensure they are minimised and up to date
- Ensure all VAT and CIS treatment of invoices are correctly processed and the relevant deductions made
- Ensure that all employee expenses are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Challenge budget holders when necessary
- Be the first point of contact in responding to queries from external suppliers relating to non-payment of invoices
What You’ll Need:
- AAT qualified or Significant experience within an accounts payable role including stakeholder management
- A good working knowledge and/or understanding of relevant financial legislation and regulation including VAT and CIS
- Good customer service and communication skills, demonstrating understanding and support whilst handling/resolving difficult situations or conflict
- Ability to constructively challenge and give/receive feedback
- Able to follow defined processes and procedures in an accurate and consistent manner
