The Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk will report to the Purchase Ledger Manager and support the wider finance team.
The role:
- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices.
- Matching purchase invoices to multiple goods receipts.
- Assisting with/setting up of payments.
- Dealing with and being proactive with any finance queries and handling some of the more complicated queries within the team.
- Ensuring that correct recharging of central costs are made across the group.
- Regular review of aged creditors to ensure suppliers are paid on time.
- Reconciling supplier statements, investigating and solving any variances.
- Working with the wider finance team and assisting in other accounting duties when required.
- Working knowledge of VAT regulations to ensure accurate input VAT recovery.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Solid experience in a high-volume Purchase Ledger role
- Good organisation skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability/confidence to deal with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- AAT would be beneficial but not essential
