Job description
- Customer service, helping our clients, Drivers and Subcontractors solve any queries or issues they may have.
- Speaking with our International agents and building a relationship with our UK and International Clients.
- Managing relationships and carefully dealing with complaints – escalating to management teams, if necessary
- Book and process road freight
- Arranging collections and deliveries via Phone and email
- Assess and provide recommendations to customers on international road freight options
- Quoting clients and ensuring good profitability
- Develop an understanding of country specific regulations
- Customs – You will learn all customs process for both Export and Import.
- Monitoring the progress of shipments to ensure they are on time and in line with the requirements of the booking
- Booking Ferries and Trains for our Trucks, Trailers, and Drivers
- Developing an understanding of permitted driver hours
- Using our in-house operating system / software to build and create consignments.
- Create necessary documentation for the driver including CMR’s, invoices and Customs papers.
- Learn about Hazardous cargo and learning how to fill out Dangerous goods notes.
- Assisting line managers with all daily duties.
- Filling out Milestone and KPI logs for our customers
- Learning the necessary IT systems, including
- Oppurtunity to specialise in a certain area of the business
- Room to grow and assist the company in finsing new business
