About the role
As the Commercial Manager you will be responsible for defining the commercial strategy for the Fleet & Logistics business unit and working with the wider Network commercial teams, deliver the Cadent business plan outcomes for the sector of the market in terms of commercial, financial, regulatory and compliance performance measures.
What you'll get to work on

Manage the application of and development of existing commercial policies to fully meet the requirements of the customers and stakeholders within the market sector

Ensure compliance with Legislation and Company safety and engineering policies and procedures and ensure that adequate records are recorded and retained

Work proactively to minimise safety, operational and reputational risk to the Cadent Network and brand

Work with Information Systems, ensuring that the Cadent technology platform meets the requirements for efficient operation of the business in relation to their specific sector requirements and enables world class customer service provision

Lead change projects within the Commercial process and ensure change projects meet wider objectives of the business and are appropriately supported

Work closely with the operational Networks, Engineering, Energy Operations and Capital Delivery Teams to enhance Customer Experience across the E2E journey

Support the management of the Commercial financial budget

Identify and implement future opportunities for process and performance improvement

Drive commercial value and delivering cost savings
Who are we looking for
-
Educated to a degree standard or equivalent qualification/experience
-
Experience in leading and developing commercial teams, providing commercial control over large construction projects

Understanding of the regulatory environment and key business drivers

Experience of managing different forms of contracts/framework agreements, developing legal documentation to address project delivery solutions

Experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities across the value stream and influencing and negotiating in order to drive commercial savings

Knowledge of the procurement process and engagement of strategic suppliers

Ability to think strategically to identify opportunities, sequentially prioritise them and deliver results through your team

Ability to manage risk, understand in-depth financial information and have commercial acumen that can be used to make meaningful insights to drive business growth
