Machinist – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer of Polyurethane products based in Wrexham, who are looking for a Manual Machinist to join their growing team. The successful Machinist will have experience of Manual Machining including the use of Lathes, Mills, Drills.

Salary:                         £32,000

Benefits:                      Finish early Friday, future enrolment into bonus & pension scheme, overtime available.

Responsibilities:

• Manual Machining duties
• to read, work to and achieve the requirements of Engineering drawings.
• Following timeframes, deadlines and procedures
• Working with a range of Manual Machinery including set up of machinery
• Working with Lathes, knee mills, Bench & Pillar drills
• To be able to use interchangeable inserts and also have the ability to grind tools as and when necessary to be able to achieve specifications, finishes and form that is required. For eg: Harrison Alphas, Colchester, Bridgeport, Swift and Craven.

About You:

• Educated to a minimum ONC or equivalent standard in Production and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Proficient in the set up and running of manual machinery.
• Experience of Bench Fitting / Bearing renewal.
• Experience in low volume precision work, mould work and rubber machining
• The ability to communicate
• CNC experience beneficial
