Job description

At an exciting point in our Finance Operations teams' journey we are looking for a Collections Specialist to support the improvement of our cash collections performance. You will be working closely with the Credit Risk & Collections team, the wider finance operations team and divisional heads of finance.

The role will involve working through complex debtor ledgers, identifying issues and working collaboratively with divisional colleagues to resolve and collect the debts

Our Finance Operations team is currently undergoing significant change as we look to deliver a more efficient and effective service to our internal and external clients. We are looking for someone with a track record of improving credit control/ cash collections performance, adept at navigating and energising a complex stakeholder environment, and is not afraid to challenge the status quo in our search for efficiencies and the attainment of best in class processes.

• Drive cash flow and debtor day targets by strong portfolio management, professional tenacity, prioritisation and relationship building
• Proactively contact clients and internal stakeholders for prompt collection, or resolution of, aged debt for the Complex Collections Team debt book
• Troubleshooting complex aged debt to identify issues and reach a pragmatic solution to enable recovery, involving other credit controllers, other finance teams and key stakeholders as needed
• Analyse upstream process issues that will improve speed of payments
• Build effective relationships both internally within the Finance team and externally with the team's wider stakeholders with particular focus on divisional engagement

• Collections experience 
• Insurance experience 
• Legal Services experience preferable
