Court of Protection Solicitor (NQ - 3PQE)
We are closely working with a leading regional Legal 500 law firm who are seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor to join their Private Client team based in the West Midlands.
The Role
- In this role, you will manage a small caseload of property and financial affairs deputyship matters, on behalf of the Deputy. You will work closely with a team of experts taking deputyship instructions both alone and alongside more senior colleagues (for more complex matters).
- With appropriate supervision you will have the autonomy to take responsibility for the preparation of deputyship applications and meeting clients to take instructions.
- Alongside supporting senior members of the team with drafting complex applications to the COP, you will play a key role in responding to initial enquires in relation to deputyship applications and administration, working to convert these into active instructions.

Requirements - Demonstrate prior experience in a Court of Protection team, either during training or as a former Paralegal
- Possess familiarity with Professional Deputyship Standards, the Mental Capacity Act, and Court of Protection Practice Directions, which is considered advantageous
- Training opportunities will be provided based on PQE.
