Job Description

The key responsibilities of a Senior Financial Accountant include, but may not be limited to:

• Month-end and year-end reporting and monthly statement of financial position and forecast
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Lead on the implementation of the of the action plans and supporting internal and external audits including tax returns and preparing PAYE
• Actual vs Budget analysis and maintain budgets as well as finalising losses
• Bank reconciliations for Treasury entities
• Support with cash pool transactions and reporting as well as daily cash-flow responsibilities
• Support with payment runs

The Successful Applicant

The successful a Senior Financial Accountant should possess:

• Public sector and Government background/ experience.
• AAT Qualification/ Degree equivalent or relevant experience.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Exceptional IT and time management skills.
• The ability to form and maintain positive relationships with a wide spectrum of people.
• 3-5 proven year's experience within accountancy.
• Ability to commute to Trafford.

What's on Offer

On offer to the candidate:

• Excellent hourly rate between £24.00 - £30.50 per hour.
• 3-month temporary contract with possibility of extension.
