Job Description:
As a Traffic Management Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safe and efficient traffic flow in designated areas. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Implementing and maintaining traffic management plans in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control measures, including signs, cones, and barriers.
Directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic to ensure the safety of all individuals on-site.
Collaborating with project managers, construction teams, and event organizers to develop effective traffic management strategies.
Conducting routine inspections of traffic control measures to identify and address any potential issues.
Responding promptly to changes in traffic conditions or emergencies, adjusting plans accordingly.
Keeping accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and equipment usage.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in traffic management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Possession of a valid traffic management qualification or certification this can be applied for with the role along with guidance.
Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and best practices, this can be supported with relevant course provided by employer.
Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear and concise instructions.
Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
A proactive and adaptable attitude, with the ability to think on your feet in dynamic situations.
Valid driver's license is desirable.
