Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Taunton UK

Salary: £90-£95 per day

Contract Type: Long-term, Full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a challenging but rewarding PMLD school in Taunton. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Responsibilities:

* Providing one-to-one support to pupils, both inside and outside the classroom

* Helping pupils to develop key skills and strategies to help them overcome their barriers to learning

* Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging and stimulating lessons

* Supporting pupils with personal care needs as required

* Monitoring and recording pupil progress and contributing to reports and reviews

* Collaborating with other professionals and parents/carers to ensure that pupils receive the best possible support and care

Requirements:

* Experience working with pupils with special educational needs, preferably those with PMLD

* A passion for working with and supporting children and young people with SEN

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

* A willingness to undertake personal care duties

* A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving

* A relevant qualification in SEN or education, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, is desirable but not essential
