Status:         Fixed-term until 31 March 2025

Salary:         Band 6, £35,973 - £43,457, per annum, dependent on experience, plus 5% Scotland Fringe Allowance 

Hours:         Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

About Us:

Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we’ve been helping former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide services in-person, and via phone and online.

About the role:

This role provides the opportunity to deliver occupational therapy in its truest form utilising unique occupational therapy interventions focused on rebuilding veterans’ lives.

At Combat Stress, the veterans’ mental health charity, we are working at the forefront of clinical innovation in veterans’ mental health. We deliver interdisciplinary treatments for former servicemen and women with complex mental health needs.

This is an exciting time to be joining us and a superb opportunity to work in a specialist trauma service and in the rewarding field of veterans’ mental health. Band 6 fixed term occupational therapist based in Scotland West (Glasgow Hub and Community)

As a member of the Scotland team, you will:

Be part of a unique and cutting-edge service that is truly interdisciplinary and influence occupational therapy input with this unique client group.

Add to the research and evidence-base of occupational therapy with veterans to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of occupational therapy with veterans.

Receive training in occupational case formulation.

This role is subject to a PVG check.
