Job description
We are working with an International high-end food manufacturer and distributor, known in their sector for being industry leaders who provide the best products on the market. They are searching for a Supply Chain Manager to join their Supply Chain Division and be a real key performer within the business.
Job Role
This role will be part of a Supply Chain team who report to the Supply Chain Operations Manager. This role will require working closely with Suppliers, Supply Chain Managers, Sales team Commercial Managers, Buying Team & Customer Collaboration alongside developing relationships with specific suppliers to ensure our service KPI targets are met and surpassed.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key point of contact within the team and proactively manage and maintain supplier relationships
- Responsible for the complete order cycle of stock replenishment - forecasting, procurement, scheduling, and shipping
- Demand planning - Plan inventory flow, analyse statistical data & collaborate to establish a forecast solution
- Weekly review, or more frequently as necessary of purchase order scheduling and the requirement to identify and resolve stock gaps within the supply of product
- Responsible for maintaining optimum product warehouse stockholding, including optimising the flow of product from supplier to warehouse
- Work with the sales and collaboration teams to identify contract sell through / run-out and to ensure action is proactively taken
- Support and drive continuous improvement projects with suppliers to improve service & maximize service levels, always driving solutions
- Manage, support and resolve key supply chain issues between supplier and the business
- Proactively communicate supply information to the business about relevant customer service and company performance
- Report, analyze and deliver on required KPIs, implement continuous improvement related to stock availability, flow of inventory and forecasting
- Maintain and develop supplier engagement by achieving highest overall satisfaction levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure business and customer needs are continually achieved
- Alert the wider teams relating to critical SKUs and their sale/demand forecast, maintain and improve our customer supply service level achievements across a broad range of major UK retailers
Qualifications/Certifications Required
- A great people person who enjoys being part of a successful team
- At least 3 years business experience preferably in Supply Chain
- Familiar with SAP functionalities (with preference for SAP S/4HANA)
- ERP/MRP experience
- Supplier & service mindset, taking ownership to resolve issues. Service oriented attitude
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Action orientated to deliver results under time pressure
- High analytical skills numeracy and logical reasoning, attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships and be a strong team player
- Proactive, self-starter, thinking of the bigger picture
- Proven track record on improvement performance
- Able to adapt to changes quickly & work in a busy department
- Demand management background
