Veterinary Surgeon (Consulting Vet)
Kingston Veterinary Group, Beverley Road
Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience and up to £3,000 relocation support, plus benefits


We are looking for a dedicated First Opinion General Practitioner to join our large, friendly, and supportive team at Kingston Veterinary Group. We are a forward-thinking practice with great equipment and support to provide first-class patient care. We are also committed to looking after our staff's wellbeing, providing time in the day to perform admin tasks.


The Role

• 4 Days per week (full-time)
• 15-minute consultations
• No OOH
• Saturdays on a 3 out of 6 rota basis (4-day week)
• Salary up to £65,000 DOE plus benefits
• Relocation package up to £3,000
• Flexibility with shift patterns, hours and duties.


About our practice

Equipment available includes colour doppler ultrasound, Endoscopy suite with multiple scopes available. Laparoscopy, digital radiography, CT and MRI are all available on-site. Full lab equipment including lactate, ionised calcium, sedivue, coags, as well as slit lamp and tonopen.

We regularly perform TPLO surgery, advanced fracture repair and advanced soft tissue surgery, and have all the necessary surgical equipment needed.

Our dedicated dental branch houses two complete dental suites and performs all the dentistry for the practice.


Location

Hull is a Friendly city, with vibrant pubs and restaurants, nightlife and hosts internationally acclaimed music and comedy acts in a number of excellent venues in the city. Many amazing beaches (with good fish and chips) lie along the Yorkshire coast which is only a short car journey away. There are beautiful scenic walks along the Yorkshire Wolds Way, including picturesque villages with great pubs and restaurants, including the Michelin-star restaurant the Pipe and Glass. Make the move to Hull, and you will never want to leave!

Kingston Vets have invested heavily in staff training and their facilities to ensure they are offering the highest standards of care. The Park Street hospital has been recently extended to create additional theatre space, now comprising separate laparoscopic, orthopaedic and soft tissue theatres, as well as a diagnostic suite. The group have a fantastic and hardworking team of 20 committed Veterinary Surgeons, 20 dedicated RVN's and a friendly, enthusiastic, support team. Our experienced team includes certificate holders in medicine and imaging, with pending certificates in dentistry, surgery and medicine.

Our branch surgeries are all sited strategically from the Park Street Hospital where we can provide a high level of hospitalisation facilities. Each branch has an experienced branch head nurse and motivated team of veterinary surgeons, nurses, ACA's and receptionists. We aim to offer consistency and high standards of client care to ensure that we can offer a high-quality service. Staff welfare and job satisfaction is prioritised at Kingston Vet Group. All veterinary surgeons have free unlimited access to Vet CT telemedicine, a service allowing access to clinical advice from a specialist team. The branch surgeries do participate in local events and are integral to the local community.

We are looking for a First Opinion General Practitioner, who has a passion for consulting. Who are committed to providing a high-quality service to the pets of Hull and East Yorkshire. Client communication skills and a commitment to continuous development are necessary requirements, with an enthusiasm for helping and educating clients is ideal for this position as this will bring the added benefits of building client trust.
