Job description
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure engineer to join our team. This role will be an escalation point for Serice Desk and be BAU focused monitoring and troubleshooting active alerts across the infrastructure estate. There will also be the opportunity to be involved in project work assisting senior team members where required.
Cygnet was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism and learning disabilities within the UK.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The role and principal goals of the L1 Infrastructure Engineer are:
- Manage BAU problems\change\incidents using cygnets ticketing system. Exposure to any ITIL driven ticketing system is essential
- Some Project work, as business dictates
- Liaising with the Digital Services Support Function on a daily basis providing third line server and infrastructure support to aide in the resolution of support tickets
- Perform advanced monitoring and reporting of network systems to ensure system integrity, scheduling and carrying out routine maintenance of all the servers and network hardware including Updates and Service Packs
- Patch servers and keep systems up to date
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
- Liase with 3rd party vendors
- Provide and promote high levels of customer care to Cygnet network users
Although not expected to be an expert in all areas the successful candidate should be comfortable administering as well as troubleshooting issues and providing assistance with the following technologies;
