We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer/Porter  to join our team in Richmond.

The purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and professional security service to Samsic UK Security’s clients as specified, demonstrating the highest levels of Customer Service; presenting at all times a smart, alert, visible and commanding security presence.

· Pay Rate: £15.15p/h

· Average Weekly Hours: 28hrs

· Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off (16:00-00:00)

· Employee Status: Permanent/ Full Time

This role is within a school and the successful candidate must be able to obtain an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence
• Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
• Secure all exits, doors and windows after the end of operations
• Ad hoc portering duties (eg emptying bins, delivering post, moving furniture)
• Occasional driving

Requirements

• Proven experience as a security officer or guard
• Clean driving licence
• Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
• Familiarity with report writing
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defence
• High School diploma is required
