Job description
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe and high quality care. Carries out clinical nursing practice at an advanced level using clinical skills, critical judgements and knowledge to deliver appropriate and safe care. Co-ordinate the planning and delivery of care ensuring patients and carers/relatives, where necessary, are involved. Prescribe and review medication that is appropriate to patient needs, in line with latest national and local protocols. Request diagnostic investigations and interpret within agree protocols e.g blood tests. Assess, diagnose and treat patients in practice premises or their own home, referring to other agency or healthcare provider as appropriate. Assist and support development of other members of the nursing team.
