The Campus:

OneSchool Global UK Gloucester Campus is moving to our flagship campus at Tewksbury from September 2024. Integrated with the latest educational technology supporting the ability to teach in a future-proof innovative space, the Campus boasts vibrant teaching areas for both primary and secondary students.

The Position:

We have the opportunity for an Assistant Head Teacher to help lead our amazing Gloucester team on a full time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward thinking, highly motivated and truly inspirational practitioner to be an Assistant Head Teacher – Teaching and Learning and Raising Pupil Progress. There is a preference for the candidate to be able to teach English or Maths.

Commencing as soon as possible, with responsibility to support the day-to-day management and professional leadership of the Gloucester Campus, the Assistant Head Teacher will ensure curriculum delivery focusing on the student as a self-directed learner and the implementation of the school’s policies and programs. Reporting to the Campus Principal and supported by an experienced Executive Team with expert and high-level support in the areas of Curriculum, Administration, HR, Finance, ICT, Property and WHS, the Assistant Head Teacher is a key member of the senior educational leadership team, providing educational and academic leadership to staff and students.

You will:

• Ideally have knowledge of the KS2-KS5 National Curriculum and assessment framework
• Have experience with pastoral or behavioural management of students
• Have experience in improving the quality of teaching and learning as a department lead or within a whole school setting
• Have previous experience as a middle / senior leader over the last 3 years and experience of implementing strategies to improve progress
• Have experience of online teaching and learning
• Have QTS / QTLS, Honours Degree and GCSE English and Maths at level C / 5 or above
• Set an example of positive personal integrity and professionalism, with positive, appropriate and effective communications and relationships at all levels
• Ensure high standards are maintained, progressed and promoted in all areas of work
• Uphold and promulgate the OneSchool ethos within all areas of responsibility
• Embed the Learning2Learn framework across the campus.
• Ensure the campus has a high performing motivated team culture.
