Maintenance Engineer

Cast UK are supporting a fantastic bottling Company, with the recruitment process of a Maintenance Engineer. Expanding their Engineering team to support growth, including the introduction of our new Canning Line. I am seeking a dedicated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our Bottling Plant equipment, maintaining the highest standards of production.
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance tasks to uphold equipment reliability, including project work, installations, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), and addressing breakdowns.
Contribute to the improvement and optimization of production processes through proactive maintenance initiatives.
Requirements:
Completion of an apprenticeship with expertise in both mechanical and electrical maintenance - 60/40 Electrical bias
Possession of a recognized Electrical Engineering qualification and proficiency in 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Previous experience in an FMCG environment is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with industry-specific equipment and practices.
Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical skills, encompassing 3-phase motors, drives, PLC control systems, as well as components like belts, bearings, pumps, chains, and fabrication skills.
Ability to diagnose and address electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
Strong teamwork abilities with effective communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the capability to work independently and make sound judgments.
Willingness to work a double-day shift pattern (6-2/2-10), with flexibility to accommodate business needs and cover holiday periods
