Job: Engineering Manager

Location: Kettering

Term: Permanent

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000

Benefits: 24 days holiday + BH, Bonus Structure, Death in service – 2x Salary, Pension, Early finish on a Friday

Premier Engineering has engaged with a key client and an established Vehicle Mounting Manufacturing company providing a wide range of services to the telecommunications, power transmission and distribution industries and high-profile clients. Due to team & project growth an opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager to join on a permanent basis.

Engineering Manager Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing new technology and standards to make sure products are to the latest specification and meet all relevant standards – ensuring technical construction files are maintained and updated.
• Manage a team of engineers, supporting their continued professional development, as well as conducting performance reviews and disciplinaries where required.
• Conduct technical project reviews with customers during larger bespoke projects.
• Support both Production and Service with technical engineering support, as and when required.
• Liasing with the wider Engineering community within the clients / Time Manufacturing group on joint projects and general engineering knowledge transfer.

Electrical Service Engineer Key Skills / Qualifications:

• Successful candidate will be Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Well rounded engineering knowledge or structures, hydraulic and electrics as well as experience of people / team management.
• Good working knowledge of CAD / PDM systems (Solid works preferrable).
• FEA and material properties knowledge.
• Must be adept in taking a high level of responsibility and decision making on a day-to-day basis.
