Engineer
Our client plays a critical role to the development and safe operation of the electricity transmission grid in Northern Ireland. Due to continued growth they are seeking to add an Engineer to their team in Belfast (hybrid working available).
This role is based within their Imperfections and Tariffs team within the System Support and Analysis function.
The Role:
· Imperfections reporting requires an understanding of the operation of the power system to determine why costs have occurred, and report on them internally and externally
· Tariffs are a fundamental part of the power system to recover costs.
· The role holder will be expected to bridge the gap between operational and commercial teams.
· We will look to you to deliver on a range of technical and commercial processes designed to achieve regulated targets and meet stakeholder needs in line with company requirements.
· You will apply your skills, knowledge and experience to effectively deliver on your team’s processes and overcome problems and carry out technical & commercial analysis to a high degree of accuracy.
Personal Specification:
· A relevant engineering degree or equivalent, with typically 2+ years relevant experience.
· Strong analysis, judgement, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work well within a team with flexibility in approach, including a strong ability to work under own initiative and to tight deadlines.
· Encompass strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on high quality report writing and ability to communicate technical matters clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
