RBLI – Lifeworks Referral Engagement Manager

This is a part time, fixed term role based in Aylesford, Kent with UK wide travel. The role will be 31 hours per week to be worked over 4 days.
Salary: circa of £25,500 per annum
Main Purpose of the Role:
This role is responsible for building, developing and maintaining relationships for RBLI with key stakeholders across the breadth of the United Kingdom. This will involve regular liaison with Local Authorities, Charities, MOD units and commercial organisations to expand RBLI’s delivery network away from its historical base in Aylesford, Kent.
The role will also be the key enabler in establishing and delivering LifeWorks in new and already secured locations across the United Kingdom ensuring that all aspects of the course are well resourced in terms of facilities and delegate referrals.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Line manage and supervise the Lifeworks engagement team in order to deliver the Lifeworks engagement strategy
- To contribute to the management of Lifeworks as part of the programme management team.
- To continue building a network of Local Government, Charity and military contacts across the breadth of the United Kingdom in order to support the wider strategy of the office of Veterans affairs strategy action plan
- To articulate the broad work of RBLI across the Country with a particular emphasis on the RBLI Lifeworks programme
- To develop opportunities to establish a robust delegate referral system and maintain the link between Head Office, other third sector organisations and local authorities to create a coherent support network for beneficiaries.
- To establish new training locations and opportunities to deliver training across the country in support of RBLI’s strategy to increase the number of beneficiaries reached through the programme
- To support training in employability skills and associated areas as part of RBLI Lifeworks programme and the MODVA contract
- To establish commercial leads to generate additional opportunities for funding streams.
- To work with other RBLI Divisions to develop opportunities for additional delivery of RBLI products and services in support of delivering Social Value and the Armed Forces Covenant.
- To ensure that your own actions support equality, diversity and rights of our customers and their families.
- To work with the wider team to ensure the best possible delegate experience whether this be through delivery of training or other elements including administration.
- To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work.
- To evaluate own performance and overall training/development performance of each programme delivered to ensure aims, objectives and outcomes are achieved.
To be an active participant in any appropriate in-service training and development programmes. - To be prepared to undertake additional duties in support of RBLI’s activities as agreed with Head of Lifeworks/MODVA
People Management
- Undertake all HR related activity and processes as requested by the HR Department and SMT including but not limited to line management of your direct reports, absence management, performance management, investigations, disciplinary and grievance hearings and annual appraisals.
- Undertake recruitment as and when necessary in order to ensure that a balanced, skilled and flexible workforce is maintained now and in the future.
- Ensure that training needs are assessed, implemented and monitored for all team members where appropriate
- Implement Investors in People in the division as part of a Company-wide initiative.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, providing training as appropriate and health and safety measures as required in order to comply with legislative requirements.
- Promote by example the high standards that RBLI expects of its employees and volunteers when representing RBLI and support staff and volunteers to understand and reach these standards.
- Promote good data protection and information security principles within your team

Requirement for the Role:
- Proven experience of managing stakeholders at senior levels
- Recent experience of delivering presentations to a mixed and complex audience
- Evidence of coaching / mentoring experience
- A drive to Succeed
- Understanding of the key elements of the Armed Forces Covenant and its implementation
- Thorough understanding of issues affecting veterans
- Experience of working with the Armed Forces community
- Experience of working in a commercial environment
- Experience of working in the charity sector
- Experience of designing a range of training workshops, including aspects of employability and motivation
