As a General Manager with Brunning and Price you’ll choose your own premium beer, wine and spirit line ups. You'll create your own events and work with your chefs on fresh, seasonal menus. What’s the catch? There isn’t one!

The Old Courthouse was designed in an 'Italianate style' by the surveyor of County Courts, Thomas Charles Sorby and built between 1869 and 1871. It's a truly stunning building with many of its key features still intact for all to see. The courtroom is largely unaltered after all these years with huge marbled columns reaching up to a glass window feature in the ceiling and well-worn wooden docks which would have some tales to tell if they could only talk. Now a bar presides over the room rather than a judge, serving a vast array of gins and whiskies, local ales and fine wines.

About you...

We’re looking for a warm and charismatic manager to lead a friendly, ambitious team and drive this busy pub forwards. You’ll enjoy a high degree of independence with the freedom to be creative and run the pub as if it were truly your own.

You’ll be interested in and knowledgeable about food and drink with a genuine passion for beer and wine. Commercially and financially astute, you’re at your happiest looking after customers whilst training, inspiring and developing your team. As a proven pub manager from a premium, food-led background, you’ve previously built a successful business with a good local reputation and will thrive in a place where you have the freedom to do exactly that.
