Job description
Vector is the leading provider of tools, software components and engineering services for the networking of electronic systems in automotive, aerospace, commercial vehicles, medical and related industries.
Within these sectors tools and software from Vector are widely considered as the industry de facto standard for enabling engineers to easily and efficiently develop, calibrate and test ECUs (electronic control units), in addition to supporting network design, diagnostics as well as with software components and development services.

Essential:
- Degree in the field of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar qualification
- Experience in project management as well as customer communication on a professional level
- Distinct customer orientation and communication skills
- Pronounced abilities in the explanation of complex technical concepts and associated roadmaps/project-plans.
- Proficient English skills – other languages (esp. German) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel to Germany for initial training (4 weeks) and regular (up to 4 per year) team-based meetings and events (up to 5 days incl. travel time).
- Willingness to travel on a regular basis to customer sites
Desirable:
- Programming knowledge and skills – ideally with a background in embedded system development
- Professional experience in software-development – ideally with an automotive background
- Experience in automotive E/E development and/or AUTOSAR are advantageous.
- Technical consultation and care based on the Vector embedded portfolio for customers in Automotive.
- Accompaniment and management of concept development e.g. for SDV in close collaboration with our clients.
- Definition of requirements to our software solutions together with car manufacturers and their suppliers.
- Coordination of such requirements with the Vector in-house development.
- Creation and tracking of plans and roadmaps based on external milestones and deadlines.
- Managing of strategic, customer-driven product development projects.
- Technical coordination of project-members, stakeholder communication interfacing with the customer.
- Professional support of our sales organization.
