About Our Client:

SNG's client, a leading residential care provider, is committed to offering a nurturing home for vulnerable and complex young people. Founded on the principle of not just ensuring the safety of their young residents but actively contributing to their growth and development, they aim to build brighter futures for every individual in their care.

Rota Expectation: 40 hours per week, 6 sleep-ins, 3-4 on-call shifts (Depending on the needs of the Home)

Role Overview: Deputy Homes Manager

As a Deputy Homes Manager, you play a crucial role in ensuring the effective daily operations of their residential home, meeting the needs of their young people, and maintaining the high standards set by our client's company. Your responsibilities extend to mentoring, leading by example, and actively contributing to the positive development of the staff team.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Registered Homes Manager in ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and OFSTED regulations.

Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence, safeguarding and promoting the welfare and development of young people.

Oversee the development, monitoring, and implementation of individual care plans and case records.

Maintain strong working relationships with parents, social workers, schools, and other professionals involved in the welfare of young people.

Lead shifts to ensure the safety and engagement of children throughout the day.

Uphold professionalism, adherence to policies, and confidentiality among staff.

Participate in the on-call duty system and provide support as needed.

 

Qualities and Requirements:

Minimum 12 months experience in a Deputy role

QCF/NVQ Level 3 minimum, willingness to complete QCF/NVQ Level 5

Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and coach a team

Knowledge of relevant legislation for Children's Homes

Familiarity with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Care Standards

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to continuous professional development and training
