SEN Teacher

SEN Teacher – Brighton – September 2024

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join the team of an incredibly well trained group of teachers and their supporting staff. This school is for children who are 4 to 16 years old, who have significant learning difficulties, profound or multiple difficulties, severe learning difficulties or severe autism.

What Are The Responsibilities Of A SEN Teacher?

* Planning, preparing and delivering lessons and activities, focusing largely on life skills
* Supporting pupils' participation in trips, applying theory-based learning to practice
* Providing behaviourally based support to reduce behaviours that impact quality of life
* Providing personal care, encouraging pupils to maintain acceptable levels of hygiene (toileting, feeding)
* Monitoring pupil progress, ensuring teaching is appropriate and effective for pupil needs

What Are The Requirements To Be A SEN Teacher?

* A passion for working with children with SEN and a genuine desire to make a difference in their life.
* Patience and adaptability to respond to varying students and changing classroom dynamics
* Provide details for us to complete reference checks prior to employment
* You will require to pass a DBS check with no reprimands (we can assist you with this)
* You will have relevant teaching qualifications (teaching degree with QTS or equivalent)
