Logistics Team Leader - Site Based, Scarborough North Yorkshire.

Your Dream Role
- A key member of the ADL Supply Chain function to lead and manage Logistics team members and to control the supply of inbound/outbound materials. To ensure all parts, components & materials are supplied to the Production line in an efficient and timely manner.
Main Responsibilities
- To embed proactive and constructive relationships across relevant stakeholders.
- To establish and implement effective and appropriate materials supply strategies, policies and procedures (to include analysis and management of schedules, stock and deliveries in & out).
- To lead, develop & mentor Logistics Team Members & Apprentices and ensure available resources are efficiently and effectively utilised.
- Manage team within operational financial budget.
- To ensure the relevant processes are known, understood, efficient, utilized and reviewed.
- To champion 5S standards and ensure housekeeping is maintained within all areas of control
- To maintain Health & Safety requirements and manage Level 2 H&S processes within area of control.
- To ensure materials gets to build lines / outsourced partners in the most efficient way possible to include urgent deliveries.
- Managing inbound stock shortages and documentation, ensuring all relevant parties are informed in a timely manner.
- To develop the skills matrix and training plans to provide flexibility within the team to cover periods of absence.
- Develop warehouse/ lineside racking & floor plans to ensure maximum efficiency and capacity to control material flow.
- Develop plan of the areas of control to determine effective process flow.
- To provide weekly / monthly KPI’s to demonstrate process control and compliance.
- Work with the Stock Controller to identify and remove obsolete / slow moving parts.
- Provide any cover with regards to Warehouse & Logistics Manager and or other Logistics Team Leader roles as & when required.
- Identify, drive and implement cost saving opportunities.

What you will bring:
- To be successful, you will have previous experience in a similar warehouse / logistics leadership role as defined in this advert.
- You will need to have good negotiation and persuasion skills and the ability to convince others and influence outcome.
- This is a site-based role therefore you will be required to work from the Scarborough site in North Yorkshire. UK.
- You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability lead both direct and in-direct teams, as well as taking a hands-on approach to all areas of accountability.
- As a leader, you will be comfortable leading by example and motivating team members to strive to their full potential.
- With a working knowledge of problem-solving methodologies and a passion for continuous improvement, you will influence and modify behaviours, driving forward a culture of total quality.
- You will be self-motivated, with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and re-prioritise in line with changing business needs.
- You will be highly IT literate, being a competent user of Microsoft Office, as well as business intelligence/ERP systems.
- If you have a Lean, Six Sigma, PRINCE 11 or ILM Supervisory qualifications as well, then even better!
- You will have the ability to implement and project manage process improvements through to completion.
- Be capable of networking and building strong relationships both internally and externally at all levels.
