Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Rehabilitation Officer for our client a government organisation based in Gloucestershire.
The successful candidate will be working across the CQC regulated rehabilitation services and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support individuals with all aspects of their rehabilitation and care programs following either a discharge from hospital or admittance from the community.
Provide guidance and supervision to Rehabilitation officers, as well as taking a key role in facilitating, prompting, or supporting individuals with social and physical activities, personal care, mobility, and mealtimes; all whilst ensuring the physical environment is comfortable and clean.
This is a 3 month starting contract with the possibility for extensions and the opportunity to go permanent.
Please note, we are offering 2 positions: 21 hours and 28 hours per week.
The work will be on a shift basis, which will include every other weekend and sleep in duties as required. there is a need to be flexible to help out at other locations if required.
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Support people with social and physical activities, providing emotional support and encouragement.
- Assist or prompt individuals with personal care, which may include bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
- Maintain a clean environment by completing tasks such as changing linens and performing basic household cleaning.
- Provide mobility assistance, for example assisting individuals in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair.
- In conjunction with members of the Multi Disciplinary Team, plan and agree the admission, assessment, and discharge arrangements for individuals.
- Follow and contribute to the creation and review of care and support plans in conjunction with the individual, their family, carers, and wider support networks – including other Multidisciplinary professionals.
- Follow and contribute to the development and review of risk assessments.
- Assume, with the Managers/Team Leaders, managerial responsibility for all staff and ensure that staff are aware of the specific aims of the unit and their role in implementing them.
Personal Requirements: - Adult barring enhanced DBS.
- Able to work on a shift basis including bank holidays, overnights, evenings, and weekends for which additional shift allowances are paid.
- Experience of supporting or working with vulnerable people in a care setting, providing support with personal care and medication administration.
- An understanding of the role and purpose of promoting health and well-being, including the influence of life factors, lifestyle choices and life events on growth, health, and wellbeing.
- An understanding of the role and responsibilities of workers in the health and social care sector.
- An understanding of legislation and principles of care and support, including the General Data Protection Act, Safeguarding, The Mental Capacity Act, Health and Safety and the Equalities Act.
- NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or working towards level 3.
Working Hours: Shift basis - incl: every other weekend and sleep duties as required / 1 position: 21hrs, another 28hrs per week. Pay: £18.46 p/h Please note this role is within the scope of IR35. Key Words: Rehabilitation, Support, Care, CQC #J-18808-Ljbffr
