Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Manchester
Type: Temporary-Permanent ASAP
Salary: £90- £100 per day

GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to undertake a position at one of our client schools in Manchester . What the role will involve:
- Supervising lessons that have been set by the class teacher
- Setting high expectations of behaviour and learning from the outset of the lesson
- Ensuring all students are working on set tasks and assisting where possible
- Ensuring all school policies regarding behaviour and uniforms are enforced
As a Cover Supervisor, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Supervising classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher absence.
- Ensure that pupils are engaging in pre-planned work.
- Manage pupil behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Liaise with other staff members in regard to work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources.
- Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks.
To be a successful Cover Supervisor you should:
- Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
- Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your professional development.
- Empathise with young people and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Supervise lessons, support in class hands on experience.
