The Quality Director will be responsible for maintaining quality and environmental certifications, formulating and establishing a quality strategy and supporting policies to meet customer and regulatory requirements and continually improve the effectiveness of the quality and environmental management systems across the sites in the UK
Responsibilities:
- Review the overall effectiveness of the facilities' quality efforts and activities to meet quality requirements as agreed upon by the clients customers.
- Good planning, manufacturing, and forecasting skills are needed to ensure excellent service delivery the customer base.
- Accountable for all quality operational performance metrics (safety, quality, cost, people and delivery).
- Drive execution of quality initiatives and create quality improvement plans, setting goals and recommending organizational changes to achieve necessary performance and development of Quality Team is imperative.
- Develop and deliver training programs on quality improvement methodologies and risk management to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
- Create a positive, engaging and supportive culture, maintaining a safe environment that is inclusive. One that is open, honest, with good communication.
Requirements:
- A proven record of success in a Quality leadership role in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience of managing a technical team and complex activities within areas of engineering or technical operations
- Experience of implementing and promoting a continuous improvement culture.
- Has a passion for and experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles into the Quality department and cross functionally.
- Be the inspirational leader that is visible and supportive, helping the department achieve their objectives.
