Job description
We deliver our workshops to local primary schools. At present we reach about 50% of schools and we need help to attract new schools and to maintain business with existing schools.
What will you be doing?We will provide extensive familiarisation with our charity. The volunteer will then be required to contact new and existing schools regularly to promote our programmes and recruit new business. We welcome any ideas on how best to develop our marketing strategy.
Working alongside our Educators and a trustee, the aim will be to retain existing schools and recruit four or five new schools per year.
What are we looking for?You should be able to communicate effectively with a range of people. For example, emails and phone calls to schools often get no further than the school office. But we need our message to get through to specific individuals. Marketing skills and perseverance is needed to get the information to the right person. Confident use of social media would be helpful.
What difference will you make?The wellbeing and health of our young people is the future of our community. Healthier, happier children do better in life. Our young children are facing ever-increasing pressures and dangers that could damage their health.
By helping us reach more schools, the volunteer can help more children to thrive.
