Pay: £11.00-£12.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay – weekly pay

About the Company: Our client, a well-established family-run business in Welwyn Garden City, is seeking a skilled Trade Sales Counter Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a trade merchant or trade counter environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling inbound calls from tradespeople and consumers.
- Checking stock availability through the system or direct warehouse checks.
- Receiving and processing deliveries in the warehouse as needed.
- Dispatching goods as required.
- Assisting customers with stock collection.
- Logging sales and updating the company’s system.
- Typing up and issuing quotations.
- Managing email correspondence and responding promptly.
- Ordering stock to maintain inventory levels.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working at a Trade Counter or within a small business in the building trade sector.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Confident telephone manner and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team, demonstrating reliability, honesty, and flexibility.
- Capability to multitask and handle various responsibilities efficiently.
